The second and third largest cities of Afghanistan, Kandahar and Herat, have fallen. The Taliban now control seventeen of Afghanistan’s thirty-four provincial capitals (ref. 1). Two days ago, it was nine. The Taliban are advancing at lightning speed. This is a blitzkrieg. The latest is that they are within forty miles of Kabul (ref. 2).
Former British marine Paul Farthing, who is in Kabul doing some kind of work there, spoke of “absolute panic”. “I have never seen anything like it at all”. When asked, if he was going to leave, he replied, “Right now, I’m going to say no – I cannot just leave my staff behind. We’ve got young women who work for us – what do I say to them?” (ref. 3). He further laments, the blood and treasure spent over the last two decades in Afghanistan by nations such as the UK have been for nothing: “What was the point?”
An interesting development, certainly for Bible prophecy watchers, is the reaction of the secretary of state for defence of the UK, Ben Wallace. He is the member of parliament responsible for defence. He is disappointed by America’s decision to withdraw. He says, the international community will likely “pay the consequences” for Trump’s deal with the Taliban – a “rotten” deal (ref. 4). He warns, Al Qaeda will probably come back (ref. 5).
This is a rare criticism of the USA from the UK. And what is more it is Bible prophecy!
Before I explain why that is, notice that the USA is bipartisan on Afghanistan. Though Joe Biden of the Democratic Party announced America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan, the decision to withdraw was initiated by Donald Trump of the Republican Party. Remember, Trump also did betray the YPG Kurds of Syria, the so-called Syrian Democratic Force, when Turkey move against them in Afrin.
Now, God prophesied that America’s actions would confound the UK. Here is the scripture.
Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert. Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.
Jeremiah 50:12-13
Concerning the part “Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed”, how did the USA, or Mystery Babylon, begin? Who is the mother of the United States of America? Of course, the answer is Britain.
Once, North America was a colony of the British Empire. A rebellion in 1773 initiated by a terrorist gang that called itself “the Sons of Liberty” led to the American Revolution and 1776.
You see, the UK is not like the USA.
I have said this before. I will say it again. In due time, the UK will return to the fold – in other words, the UK will become Christian again. This is the prophecy of Psalms 72:10.

I even know how it is going to happen: the Crown’s reserve power of the royal prerogative!
But before then, during these last days, at least concerning Russia and China, the UK will be on the wrong side. The Bible prophesies that the ships of Tarshish will be humbled by the LORD of hosts (ref. Isaiah 2:16).
No doubt, the British Armed Forces under Ben Wallace would fight against Russia and China. Wallace’s father served in Malaya and fought against communists. Weeks ago, probably at the behest of America, the British provoked Russia near Crimea, and then after that China in the South China Sea.
However, concerning Islam and the likes of the Islamic State and Al Qaeda, apparently, Wallace is not necessarily subservient to America. Apparently, a week ago, behind closed doors, Wallace pleaded with other NATO members to stay in Afghanistan despite America’s withdrawal but was unable to convince them to do so (ref. 6). That attempt to form a new military coalition to remain in Afghanistan without America in and of itself says a lot about Wallace.
Now, here is something else that is remarkable about Wallace. Before he became a Member of Parliament, he was a captain in the Scots Guards of the British army. The Scots Guards is one of the five regiments that form the Queen’s Foot Guards. The iconic sentries at Buckingham Palace that wear redcoats and bearskin hats are drawn from their ranks. In fact, the Scots Guards was formed in 1642 to be the personal bodyguard of the king of England and Scotland at the time. Though every British soldier swears allegiance to the Crown as opposed to the government of the day or the prime minister, and though the Crown is the commander in chief of the British Armed Forces, the history and tradition of the Scots Guards make them even more loyal to the Crown.
All that to say this: when America bows down to the Antichrist and begins to serve him (ref. Revelation 13), Britain might not follow. If Britain does not return to the fold then, surely it will happen after the day of the LORD, the day of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
Sure, Britain’s spies are as insidious and wicked as any of the Five Eyes. I suspect, they carried out the Skirpal Novichok poisoning of 2019 to dupe Prime Minister Theresa May to make sure that Britain would thereafter regard Russia as an adversary. I remember, Theresa May was proud to wear a red dress when she hosted Donald Trump at Blenheim Palace. For those who don’t know, Blenheim, a famous victory of John Churchill, the Duke of Marlborough, an ancestor of Winston Churchill, was the beginning of the British Empire. In those days, the British army wore redcoats, and waved, besides the Union Jack, a red flag with a lion and a crown. In those days, red was their colour.
Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?

As powerful as MI5 and GCHQ and MI6 might seem now, they are no match for the power of Crown.
This means, the UK will be recovered, as prophesied.
The UK’s situation is quite different from, say, Australia’s. In Australia, the enemy has control of the entire right-wing of politics. The Liberal Party of Australia was founded by Robert Menzies, a renowned Freemason. In the UK, the ruling Conservative Party, the UK’s centre-right, was established in 1834 by a merger of the Tory Party and the Liberal Unionist Party. Under Benjamin Disraeli, an Anglican Christian of Jewish lineage, the Conservative Party played a preeminent role in politics at the height of the British Empire. As prime minister, Disraeli famously spoke out against secret societies, and their agents. Because the Conservative Party was not the product of an occult secret society the way the Liberal Party of Australia was, there are Conservative Party politicians such as Ben Wallace who are not like the sitting prime minister, Boris Johnson, whom is almost always pro-America, and whom, by the way, is of Turkish lineage. A spill in the Liberal Party of Australia would always be more of the same. That cannot be said of the UK’s Conservative Party.
Another difference between the UK and Australia is that while Parliament is supreme in Australia, it is not so in the UK. In the UK, the authority of the Crown is absolute. The Crown not only has power in law, the royal prerogative, but also power in arms, through the likes of the Scots Guards.
This is why the national anthem of the United Kingdom sings, God save the Queen.
