Evil (2019-) and demons: the deception of psychosis and psychopathy

That which is evil is of the Devil, just as that which is good is of God.

Once and for a while, especially during the so-called Dark Ages, when the west was quite Christian, many in the world understood this. But ever since the Renaissance of Classicism, a time of Greek and Roman polytheism, and ever since the so-called Enlightenment, when Freemasonry and the Illuminati began to take over, the word “evil” came to lose its meaning.

In the 19th century, around the time Friedrich Nietzsche proclaimed “God is dead” through his book titled “The Gay Science” – you can’t make this stuff up – a time when seances and consulting with familiar spirits (demons) were fashion, despite being expressly prohibited in Deuteronomy 18:11 and Leviticus 20:6, an Austrian doctor, one Sigmund Freud, who himself was into seances and was habitually consuming the drug cocaine, invented psychoanalysis. In so doing, he began the field of psychology and transformed the profession of psychiatry. Freud would chug down his cocaine drink as if he were drinking Coca-Cola, which by the way was invented by an American pharmacist in that same century and which did originally contain cocaine, a legal substance at the time. For those who don’t know, mind-altering narcotics enable demons to speak to and even possess a person. This is why drugs is the Devil’s business.

Freud’s protege Carl Jung of Switzerland would further shape both psychology and psychiatry. Jung was an ardent Freemason, who became Grand Master of his lodge, which means Jung was a Satanist (ref. Isaiah 23:15-17).

All this means, the so-called science of psychology and the modern practice of psychiatry were conceived by the enemy, Satan, to deceive the world.

It is ironic that the word “psychiatry” combines the Greek words “psyche” and “iatreia”, and therefore psychiatry literally means the “medical healing of the soul”. It is said that until the 18th century, the era of the Enlightenment, mental illness was regarded by the medical profession in much of the western world as demonic possession.

Today, however, the world has fallen into apostasy.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:12

Now, on to the Paramount+ TV Series “Evil” (ref. 1) by Robert King and Michelle King. I have watched the first two seasons but not yet the third. Recently, a fourth season was announced.

In Evil (2019-), the character Dr. Kristen Bouchard is a forensic psychologist. Another character, David Acosta, is a former journalist who becomes a seminarian and then a priest. And another, Ben Shakir, is a technician, a polymath of sorts, and a sceptic of the supernatural. Together, these three investigate, for a certain diocese of the Catholic church in America, cases of unexplained phenomena that might involve demons.

Critics at rottentomatoes.com rate the show highly. Season 1 scores 92%. Season 2, 95%. And season 3,100%.

The TV Series Evil is worth watching because there is some truth in it. Although the show was certainly inspired by a daemon or a genie, as the ancient Greeks would say, some things that it says about evil are true. The villain is even a self-professed Satanist, yet he is described by others as a sociopath.

The catchphrase “possession looks a lot like insanity” sums up the theme of the series.

About psychiatry, my view is that the clinical state of mind known as psychosis, which is experienced by those who have been diagnosed as suffering from schizophrenia or bipolar disorder and also by those who are supposedly clinically insane, is actually demonic possession. Hallucinations, multiple personalities, hearing voices in one’s head, unnatural behaviour – all of this can be attributed to the presence of demons. To make matters worse, the case of Anneliese Michel, as depicted in the movie The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005), proves that anti-psychotic drugs prescribed by psychiatrists can bring about the very psychosis that the drugs are supposed to alleviate. This goes to show that the field of psychiatry is essentially evil. Rather than heal the soul of a patient, psychiatry puts the soul in danger.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005) Trailer

Now, I am not saying that all of psychiatry is necessarily wrong. For sure, there are diseases of the human brain. Epilepsy, which is triggered by flickering lights, is one. Amnesia is another. Dementia is yet another. So too is Parkinson’s disease, which convulses the body. All these come down to something physically wrong with the human body.

However, behavioural problems are different. Psychosis, for instance, cannot be examined in a scientific manner, through an MRI, a microscope and whatnot. I say, the diagnosis of psychosis is misdirection, a part of Satan’s deception.

For that matter, the idea that someone can be a psychopath cannot be correct either. Psychopathy says that a human being can be born evil because of a defect in the brain. No one is ever born evil.

Even sociopathy, which says that a human being can become evil because of some past trauma or experience in life, is a lie. Sociopathy cannot be correct because fundamentally evil is always of the Devil, the one who is opposed to God and opposed to things that are good.

The Bible explains that a person becomes evil because he or she chooses to become evil, when tempted by a devil. As the LORD’s prayer goes, “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil” (ref. Matthew 6:13). When someone fails to resist temptation, that person chooses to become evil.

So, a person that sells his or her soul to the Devil for financial gain or for witchcraft has chosen to be evil. A woman that plays with an ouija board and allows a demon to possess her body has made a choice to seek after a familiar spirit, which the Bible expressly commands not to do. Even a man that loses his mind because of a narcotic drug and consequently goes out and kills someone actually chose to be in that state when he took the drug in the first place. Evil is always a matter of choice.

Indeed, this is the essence of “tribulation”, which is another word for temptation.

… In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

John 16:33

In times past, a tribulum would be used to thresh the harvest, to separate the wheat from the chaff. Likewise, the purpose of tribulation is to separate the faithful from the fake.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Matthew 23:27-28

God wants to see who in this world are able to withstand and overcome evil. Those that do overcome will be rewarded, and those that do not will be punished.

For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:20

To withstand the wiles of devils, one must put on the whole armour of God (ref. Ephesians 6:11-18), which is to say, one must seek the truth, aspire to be righteous, understand and share the gospel of the kingdom of God, be faithful to God, hope for salvation, study the word of God, and pray.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Ephesians 6:10-11

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Ephesians 6:13-18

If you have put on the whole armour of God, you will be able to resist the trials of evil spirits, and so you will not be defeated.

Within the word of God, you will find accounts of encounters with demons.

Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil… Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Matthew 4:1-10

These are instructive to everyone who aspires to be good.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

Likewise, to the extent that examples of evil presented in the TV Series Evil are truthful, then it is interesting and useful information. Sure, some cases are exaggerated or nonsense, but others are not.

Previously, I wrote about the movie The Witch (2021). That story too presents all of the wiles of the enemy. It is all there. Demonic possession (ref. Mark 5:1-15). Manipulation of thoughts and dreams (ref. Matthew 16:22-23). Levitation (ref. Matthew 4:6). Ritual child sacrifice (ref. Jeremiah 19:5). Disease (ref. Job 2:7). Financial ruin (ref. Job 1:15-19). False accusation (ref. Revelation 12:10). Tribulation (ref. 2 Timothy 3:12). Temptation to sin (ref. Matthew 4:1-11).

The Witch (2016) Trailer

The Witch is endorsed by the Satanic Temple, which is based in Salem, Massachusetts, USA. It is a work of fiction that was inspired by the enemy but still it is revealing and instructive because there is some truth to it.

As the saying goes, if you know enough about the enemy before a battle, then you will not lose.

Now, I would like to draw your attention to the trailer of season 2 of Evil (ref. 2). It features the song “Hunter” by Riaya.

“If travel is searching
And home has been found.
I’m not stopping;
I’m going hunting.
I’m the Hunter
Bring back the good.”

Evil (2021) Trailer

This speaks to the Bible prophecy that some Christians will serve as “soldiers of Christ” during the Millennial Reign.

It is as if on the battlefield of good versus evil, the lines of the side that is evil have been broken by the charge of an Almighty cavalry, and their force has been scattered, and so now the fight has turned into one of a chase or even a hunt.

During the Millennial Reign, there will be much to do, even though Satan will have been arrested and imprisoned in hell, and his kingdoms, the beast of the sea and the beast of the earth, are no more. This is because all of the enemies of God must be defeated.

For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

1 Corinthians 15:25

At some time during the one thousand years, Jesus Christ’s victory over evil shall be complete.

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ…

Revelation 12:10

Glory to God!
