Donald Trump is “The Chosen One”, proclaims a new song by American evangelical Natasha Owens

A singer and songwriter from Dallas Texas USA, Natasha Owens, who describes herself as a Christian and an evangelical, has released a new song titled, “The Chosen One”, in which Donald J Trump is likened to a modern-day messianic figure who will “save” America, Israel, and even the world “from evil”, specifically tyrannical and authoritarian powers (ref. 1).

Trump welcomed the comparison and shared the song on his social network, Truth Social.

Mainstream media do not know what to make of it. They must be wondering, why is Trump and MAGA going biblical?

Here are the lyrics of the song:

“I’m not saying
He’s something divine
He gets in trouble bigly
Time after time
He’s controversial
But one thing is true
Imperfect people
A perfect God can use
I’m standing with the Chosen one
Ain’t no stopping what the Lord’s begun
He’s only human
Like you and me
Just a chosen one
The chosen one
This great nation
Is under attack
And its real leader has
Arrows in his back
So many greet him
With a Judas kiss
But God gave us a warrior
For such a time as this

Brothers and sisters lay down your stones
There’s only one God and He’s still on the throne”

Now, the singer says that she is not describing Trump as the Messiah (ref. 1). However, if you examine the lyrics of the song carefully, particularly the expression “The Chosen One”, and the part about “Judas kiss”, and then “a warrior”, and even “Arrows in his back”, the allusions to a Christ-like figure and even Christ the conqueror are unmistakable.

The arrows thing is especially striking because it requires knowledge of the doctrine of the saints, something that only either a true Christian or else a demon on the other side would know. Remember, as I have said, every saint in the forthcoming army of the 144000 can be likened to an arrow, and Jesus Christ who will command this army will be the one who will aim and shoot the arrows. This means, the arrows of God are in the quiver of the Messiah.

God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready. He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.

Psalms 7:11-13

Even I, the servant of Isaiah 49, incidentally someone actually chosen by God – ie. “he shall choose thee” (ref. Isaiah 49:7) – is technically an arrow of God, one of many in his quiver.

And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me; And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

Isaiah 49:2-3

Now, in 2019, during a presidential press conference, Trump himself flippantly remarked that he is “The Chosen One” (ref. 2), in regard to something about China.

C-Span on Trump describing himself as “The Chosen One”

In that same year, another Trump supporter, Wayne Allyn Root, said of Trump that, “The Jewish people in Israel love him like he’s the king of Israel”, and even “like he’s the Second Coming of God.” (ref. 3). Trump happily re-tweeted the remark. The king of Israel and the Second Coming are obviously attributes of Jesus Christ.

A real Christian, someone who fears and obeys God, would not have claimed to be like Jesus Christ in this way.

Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed [Jesus Christ], neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour [Jesus Christ]. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God. Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it? Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel [Jesus Christ]…

Isaiah 43:10-14

The Bible prophesies that in the last days, there would false prophets and even false Christs.

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Matthew 24:23-24

Incidentally, in Matthew 24:23-24, notice the words “the very elect”. This refers to the chosen ones, namely the saints of the 12 tribes of Israel and the soon-to-be holy remnant of Judah. So, it is only when the expression is “The Chosen One”, singular, that it is evocative of the Son of man, the Messiah of Israel.

In Isaiah 42, a prophecy about the Son of man born of the virgin Mary, Jesus Christ is described as the LORD’s “elect” in the KJV, and as the LORD’s “chosen” in other Bible versions. So I guess, the expression, “The Chosen” or “The Chosen One” comes from here.

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect [chosen], in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

Isaiah 42:1

Isaiah 42 also describes Jesus as the LORD’s “servant”, and so does Isaiah 53, which clarifies the expression as the LORD’s “righteous servant”.

He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Isaiah 53:11

This is because while he lived as a human, the Son of man Jesus Christ was entirely righteous and without sin. In fact, he did not even break any of the laws of Roman-occupied Judaea. Pilate himself regarded the Son of man as a “just person”.

When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

Matthew 27:24

In stark contrast, Donald Trump has recently been convicted of 34 counts of fraud, ie. falsification of business records, which is a felony in New York (ref. 4).

So, Trump is now a convicted felon, but many American evangelicals still see him as the rightful next leader of the USA, apparently even someone “chosen” by God.

At the other extreme, some prophecy watchers are now saying that Donald Trump must be the Antichrist of these last days, the leader of the Fourth Beast.

On Netflix, apparently, there is a 2023 TV series titled “The Chosen One”, something I have not watched. It is based on the comic book by Mark Millar called “American Jesus”, which is some sort of re-imagining of the biblical Antichrist as an American president.

My own view is that Trump will become the prophesied final “king of Babylon”. His first name “Donald” is Gaelic for “ruler of the world”, and his surname “Trump” is evocative of the last trump, ie. the 7th trumpet. The leader of Mystery Babylon, the spiritual harlot that reigns over the kings of the earth in these last days, will be antichrist but the man commonly known as the Antichrist is someone else.

That person, also known as “the beast” and “the little horn” and “the Assyrian”, has to be someone whose birth name sums in gematria to 666.

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Revelation 13:18

Going back to Trump, besides reigning over Mystery Babylon, Trump could even be “the false prophet”, the one with “two horns like a lamb” in Revelation 13, also known as “the man of sin” and “the son of perdition” in 2 Thessalonians 2. Earlier, I had guessed Kanye West, because of his own messianic claims, but Kanye has since given up his presidential aspirations.

Now, about the abomination of desolation, the person who walks into the temple of God, showing himself that he is God, will almost certainly be the false prophet of Revelation 13, or else the king of Babylon, or else the two are one and the same. It certainly would not be the Assyrian. Conceivably, the state of Israel would allow an elected American president to visit the Temple Mount. Remember, this has to happen at the start of the tribulation, before ISIS and the Assyrian reach Jerusalem.

Now we beseech you, brethren [addressing the saints], by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4

So, Donald Trump comparing himself to Jesus Christ is a step in this direction.
