“Doomsday” 6.8 earthquake, biggest in 120 years, shakes 75km west of Marrakesh, killing over 2000

Two days ago, a 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Marrakesh, Morocco’s fourth largest city. It was the biggest earthquake in 120 years (ref. 1). The epicentre was said to be 75 kilometres west of Marrakesh (ref. 2). Headlines of this earthquake have only just now reached Australia. AP described it using the word “doomsday” (ref. 3). At least 2012 people have died and more than 2059 are injured. Houses and buildings crumbled, and vehicles were smashed. The Berber word Marrakesh literally means “Land of god”, presumably the god Allah.

In these last days, Morocco, and also the barren Sahara desert, are significant because of Joel 2:20. Towards the end, when the Assyrian’s army is losing ground to the east especially but also to Israel, it is Bible prophecy that his soldiers will be routed and forced to flee across North Africa, in the direction of Morocco and the Sahara.

But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate [Morocco’s Sahara desert], with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.

Joel 2:20

The fact that these soldiers retreat across North Africa rather than into Turkey and Europe means that Europe by this stage will be on the correct side of history!

I am sure the “northern army” refers to the Assyrian’s army, because the Hebrew for northern is a derivative of the word “tsaphon”.

There is also Joel 2:20, “stink”. Something that also alludes to the “waster”? (ref. Isaiah 54:16).

Another thing to notice from this is the epicentre of 75 kms west of Marrakesh, the number 75. 1975 is the year of my birth.

A demon could not have brought about an earthquake like this. So, this was a sign and message from God in heaven.
