Storm Daniel hits Greece and Libya, collapsing two dams in Derna; and dust from the Sahara desert reach the UK

On 4 September 2023, a storm named “Daniel” formed in the Mediterranean, as a result of a high pressure zone being pushed between two zones of low pressure, thereby shaping the Greek letter Omega.

Omega happens to be the final letter of the Greek alphabet, a symbol of the end. Omega is also evocative of God Almighty in the book of Revelation (ref. Revelation 1:8, 1:11, 21:6, 22:13).

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 1:8

Another thing, the verse before Revelation 1:8 speaks about the Second Coming of Jesus Christ in the clouds, which happens to be the subject of my last post.

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Revelation 1:7

Anyway, after Storm Daniel formed on 4 September, it hit Greece and parts of Bulgaria. In Greece, rivers overflowed, crops were destroyed, and electricity was cut. Meteorologists classified the storm as the worst Greece has experienced since records began in 1930. Some described it as a “biblical catastrophe” (ref. 1).

Today, 12 September 2023, the storm dissipated but not before hitting Eastern Libya, and in particular the city of Derna. The storm caused two dams in the city to collapse. The water that flowed as a result carried entire neighbourhoods into the sea (ref. 2). Libyan officials say, more than 2000 are dead, and many more are missing.

ABC on Storm Daniel and Libya

The city of Derna was formerly held by ISIS. In November 2014, the first leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi declared Derna an official province of ISIS. So this flooding brings to mind Nahum 2:6-10, the manner in which Nineveh, the origin of ISIS (ref. Nahum 1:11), will be swept away by the LORD of hosts, a prophecy that will be fulfilled towards the end.

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies. What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.

Nahum 1:7-9

The sweeping away of people into the sea is also evocative of the rise of the beast of the sea.

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

Revelation 13:1

So this storm, which was named “Daniel” and which hit Greece and Libya especially, both nations that are prophesied to be within the boundaries of the forthcoming beast of the sea, must be a sign that the fourth seal of the apocalypse is about to be opened.

Further to this, a few days ago, vast amounts of dust and sand from the Sahara desert made its way to the UK, some 5000 miles away. Across numerous towns in the West Midlands, people found their parked cars covered with dirt (ref. 3).

Storm Daniel together with this dust from the Sahara points to Nahum 1:3.

The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

Nahum 1:3

To add to that, recently there was a massive 6.8 earthquake in Morocco. Such an earthquake in that area is said to be “rare” (ref. 4). The epicentre was a village named “Talat N’Yaaqoub”: the Yaaqoub part means “Jacob”. The epicentre was 75km from Marrakesh. Notice the word Jacob and the number 75.

Also, earlier today, Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano suddenly erupted again after months of quiet (ref. 5).

Sky News on Kilauea volcano eruption

So all of that makes four signs, and all four point to chapter 1 of the book of Nahum: a whirlwind (ref. Nahum 1:3), vast amounts of dust (ref. Nahum 1:3), an earthquake (ref. Nahum 1:5) and the melting and burning of a hill (ref. Nahum 1:5).

Notice the repetition of the number four. Four signs that point to Nahum 1, which is a chapter that talks about the fourth beast prophesied in Daniel, a beast that will arise at the time of the opening of the fourth seal. Furthermore, Storm Daniel began 4 September and ended 12 September. So, four, four, four, and four.

Late last year, I did think that the next seal to be opened might be the fourth rather than the second. But then afterwards, I switched back to the second.

If it turns out that the fourth seal is opened before the second, then the likes of France, and maybe even the UK, should break away from the USA, namely Babylon, and this is a good thing.

Now, when the fourth seal of the apocalypse is opened, the rider of the pale (or green) horse will emerge and his empire will control one quarter of the population of the entire world.

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat upon him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth [one quarter of the globe], to kill with the sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Revelation 6:8

Revelation 6:8 reads, his name means Death, and Hell will follow him because every single person that pledges allegiance to him, and of course everyone that engages in jihad for him, will surely die before the end, and then their souls will be cast into the prison of Hell.

This seventh kingdom of Satan (ref. Revelation 17:10), which emerges when the fourth seal is opened, will have in it “iron teeth”. Iron is a reference to the supernatural power of demons.

After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

Daniel 7:7

The Assyrian himself will do supernatural things, for demons will be around him and they will serve him (ref. Daniel 8:23). For this reason, no human will be able to kill the Assyrian, and he will be stopped only on the day of the LORD by Jesus Christ himself (ref. Daniel 8:25).

And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

Daniel 8:23

… he shall magnify himself in his heart… he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

Daniel 8:25

Because of his power, the Assyrian will think so highly of himself and of his empire that he will blaspheme the real God in heaven (ref. Daniel 7:25, Revelation 13:6). Remember, at this point the Assyrian will essentially be the embodiment of Satan.

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

Revelation 13:6

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Revelation 13:4

Be that as it may, Revelation 1:8, the verse with the Greek letter Omega that I brought up earlier, expressly makes the point that the real God in heaven is, was, and forever will be the Almighty.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 1:8

This means the false god called “Allah” is not greater, and so at the appointed time Jesus Christ, who is the Alpha and the Omega, the Almighty, will surely destroy the fourth beast.

God will allow the Assyrian to rise because he is to function as an axe against the olive tree that is Israel, to remove the parts that are rotten (ref. Revelation 2:9), even though he does not realise his place in the scheme of things.

I have raised up one from the north [the Assyrian], and he shall come…

Isaiah 41:25

However, because the Assyrian will magnify himself against God (ref. Isaiah 10:15), and blaspheme the name of God (ref. Daniel 11:36, Revelation 13:6), and choose to worship Satan (ref. Daniel 11:38), God will give to the enemies of the Assyrian the means to destroy his empire.

Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as it were no wood.

Isaiah 10:15

Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks. For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man…

Isaiah 10:12-13

So, four signs and all four point to the words of Nahum 1:1-5.

The burden of Nineveh… the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies. The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet… The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.

Nahum 1:1-5

Basically, the message is, don’t be afraid of the Assyrian: his empire will not last beyond 3.5 years.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt. For yet a little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.

Isaiah 10:24-25
