The 144000 saints of God, an army of super-soldiers that will wield the power of fire

On the day of the LORD, the time of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, this world will see a completely new creature: the saint, a soldier of Christ.

First of all, this army will prove to the world once and for all that Jesus Christ is God, the Creator, the only one like God the Father himself who is able to create at will a new creature.

Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

Isaiah 44:6

Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

Isaiah 43:10-11

This army will number 144000. There will be 12000 from each of the 12 tribes of Jacob, also known as “Israel”.

And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Revelation 7:4

I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make a great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

Micah 2:12

On the day of the LORD, at the sounding of the 7th trumpet and the pouring of the 7th vial, only the 144000 will be reaped (ref. Revelation 14:14-16).

Forget what you might have heard from others about the rapture. Not only will the rapture not be pre-trib, but Christians generally will not be raptured at all. To be sure, Christians who die faithful to Jesus Christ in these last days will be resurrected to go to heaven to serve as priests there, but among the living only the saints will be lifted up and transformed to serve as soldiers here.

Some of the 144000 such as David, Asaph, and Paul are already in heaven. But the rest will be gathered in these last days. This is why Mark 13 reads that the Son of man Jesus Christ will send his angels to gather together his “elect”, i.e. his chosen ones, from the earth and from heaven.

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Mark 13:26-27

To this point, notice the phrase “the four winds” in Mark 13:26-27 is repeated in Revelation 7:1, which is about the 144000.

And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth…

Revelation 7:1

Furthermore, Paul’s description of the reaping or the rapture in 1 Thessalonians 4 must be about the saints rather than Christians generally, because for one thing Paul himself will be a saint (ref. Ephesians 3:8) – hence the pronoun “we” – and for another 1 Thessalonians 4:3 mentions “sanctification”.

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trump of God [7th trumpet]: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

1 Thessalonians 4:3

The manifestation of the sons of God is so important to the world that Romans 8 says all of creation is waiting for this event.

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God… For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Romans 8:19-22

This is because Jesus Christ and his saints are going to change the world! Believe it or not, the world as it is now will come to an end.

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and all of their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

Jude 1:14-15

In these last days, as the first of the saints of ancient “Israel” (ref. Isaiah 49:3), one of the things that I am to do is help bring Jacob again to God (ref. Isaiah 49:5-7).

So, if there is a chance that you might be a saint, you must keep up with the news, and also watch out for signs on your own in case God is calling you to him. There may well be signs from heaven that I miss because the signs are particular to individual saints.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Romans 8:29-30

Now, to the idea of fire as a weapon of God.

Fire is something that I have previously brought up. Since then, I have found more in the Bible about fire and the saints.

For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD will be many.

Isaiah 66:15-16

Notice in Zechariah 14, there is a clear description of the enemies of God – think Islamists – being killed by fire.

And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

Zechariah 14:12

So, this is something that the saints will do.

… and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

Zechariah 14:5

And the armies [angels and saints] which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron…

Revelation 19:14-15

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet… And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceedeth out of his mouth: and all the fowls [saints especially but also angels] were filled with their flesh.

Revelation 19:20-21

In Zephaniah 1, there is further reference to the saints and fire: “candles”.

And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.

Zephaniah 1:12

And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. Neither their silver not their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD’S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

Zephaniah 1:17-18

But apart from bringing an end to Islam throughout Israel, the saints will also go after those Israelis that are ungodly: Kabbalists, soothsayers, witches, Freemasons, LGBTQ, Jews who are anti-Zion and pro-Palestine, false Christians, etc.

I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut of the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with the priests; And them that worship the host of heaven [Jews that worship demons, ref. Revelation 2:9] upon the housetops… and those that have not sought the LORD, nor enquired of him.

Zephaniah 1:4-6

… I know blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Revelation 2:9

And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers: Thy graven images also will I cut off…

Micah 5:12-13

I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. And they answered and said unto him, Where Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles [saints and angels] be gathered together.

Luke 17:34-37

Now before it is too late, all Israelis in error must repent and turn to God the Father (ref. Isaiah 29:13-14, Zephaniah 2:3), the LORD, who is actually the same person as Jesus Christ when in heaven.

Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be that ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.

Zephaniah 2:3

After all of this, what remains of Judah will be holy and all of the promised land will become the kingdom of God. The remnant will be literally holy because by then all of the remaining Jews will have been given the Holy Spirit (ref. Joel 2:28-29, Zechariah 12:10, Isaiah 4:3-4), just as the apostles were given the Holy Spirit at the time of Pentecost (ref. Acts 2:16-21).

And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

Isaiah 4:3-4

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Joel 2:32

This thing that the saints will do on the day of the LORD will be the final part of Israel’s baptism by fire.

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

Matthew 3:11-13

After that, the surrounding nations that came against Jerusalem will be destroyed, everyone killed by fire (ref. Zechariah 14:3, Zechariah 12:9).

Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Zechariah 14:3

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Zechariah 12:9

From there, it is foregone conclusion that the rest of the world will also become Christian.

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Revelation 11:15

All nations across the world, including Muslim majority nations, will yield to the true God and his Christ. They will yield and renounce Islam or Hinduism or whatever the case may be, if they want to live. Those that refuse to repent will be killed by starvation (ref. Psalms 22:29).

All they that be fat upon the earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

Psalms 22:29

… he will famish all the gods [the different religions] of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.

Zephaniah 2:11

If things come down to particular troublemakers in positions of power, Satanists for example, then those individuals will be killed by fire.

The stubborn and the haughty will not survive the saints.

Jesus Christ will be the King of kings, and thereafter there will be world wide peace.

Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Psalms 46:8-11

Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine [the LORD speaking].

Job 41:11

A significant aspect to all of this will be the new creature of the saint and the power of flames of fire.

For our God is a consuming fire.

Hebrews 12:29
