The IDF has launched a massive aerial operation against Hezbollah, codename “Northern Arrows”, striking command posts, rocket launchers, and various buildings hiding Hezbollah missiles and UAVs, over 1600 targets in all (ref. 1). This is Israel’s largest bombing campaign of Lebanon since 2006.
Still reeling from the pager and walkie talkie move, and now having lost a substantial number of its mid-level commanders, including the commanders of their missile force and their Radwan unit, Hezbollah seems to be on the verge of complete defeat.
They did fire rockets, UAVs, and even one ballistic missile at Israel, and there was some damage as a result, but the ballistic missile aimed at a Mossad base near Tel Aviv was intercepted.
Now, the IDF is preparing to go in on the ground, to finish off Hezbollah’s military outposts, staging points, launchpads, and underground infrastructure, with the objective of once more securing the northern parts of Israel from Hezbollah rockets.
There is, after all, an existing UN mandate that Southern Lebanon be freed of Hezbollah militants.
What is striking about this operation is the codename “Northern Arrows”. Like “Chariots of Fire” and “Swords of Iron” – IDF operations in the recent past – Northern Arrows is a biblical allusion. This tells me that Israel’s government and the IDF are being guided either by God himself or else by one of his angels.
It is also interesting that Islamic militias in Iraq have gotten involved, launching their drones at Israel.
However, I think, these militants in Iraq are essentially Shia militias aligned to Iran.
There is also news that a 40000 strong international militia is being assembled in Syria, getting ready to march into Lebanon (ref. 2). These are volunteers and mercenaries from various countries including Syria, Iraq, and Yemen.
By the way, the Houthi blockade of the Red Sea, which has diminished shipping through the Suez Canal by some 66% (ref. 3), is also biblical because of Isaiah 19:15 – that is to say, the blockade is already adversely impacting Egypt’s economy.
Returning to the matter of the international militia being formed in Syria, at this stage there is no information to suggest that ISIS is in the formation, let alone leading that formation.
Remember, the Bible explains, when the 4th seal of the apocalypse is opened, “the Assyrian”, a leader of ISIS from Nineveh Iraq and whose birth name counts in gematria to 666, is to begin the prophesied kingdom of the beast, an Islamic caliphate!
At that time, 10 kings will arise, who as yet have no power or kingdom.
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
Revelation 17:12-13
And although ISIS is Sunni Islam and largely Arab, Iran and Turkey will surely be a part of this coming caliphate (ref. Revelation 13:2). So, at the time of the end, the conflict between Sunnis and Shias will suddenly stop.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the caliphate will wield supernatural power. The “iron” in Daniel 2:40-41 refers to demons.
And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.
Daniel 2:40-41
The way to beat this monster is to focus on killing the clay – ie. all of the humans who pledge allegiance to the caliph and fight for him.
At the height of their power, they will control one quarter of the globe.
Anyway, until ISIS makes the news again, we are still only in the early stages of things.
