North Korean troops in Kursk, given Russian gear, clash for the first time with Ukrainian forces

For a week or so, there has been talk that North Korea has sent up to 10000 soldiers to Russia to train and eventually fight alongside Russians in the war for Ukraine. Today, there is news that Ukraine has clashed for the first time against a contingent of North Korean troops in the area of Kursk Russia, which Ukraine seized a few months ago (ref. 1). The North Koreans are said to be wearing Russian uniforms and using Russian military equipment.

Airang on North Koreans in Kursk

Last month, Russia and North Korea agreed to a formal military pact. Before that, North Korea had been supplying Russia with artillery shells and that sort of thing.

North Korea has also now blown up the inter-Korean roads and rail lines on its border with South Korea (ref. 2).

Should war break out on the Korean peninsula, of course America will be involved and no doubt China will enter the fray too. Such a war would be yet another war of kingdoms and nations – the 2 Koreas being 2 different “kingdoms” of the same “nation”.

And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom…

Mark 13:7-8

In regard to China, there are rumours that President Xi Jinping had a medical scare around the time of the 3rd Plenum, and so the country has now reverted to collective rule, which was a thing during the era of Deng Xiaoping. As far as China’s military goes, despite Xi still holding the position of chairman of the Central Military Commission, a Vice Chairman, one Zhang Youxia, is now said to be in charge (ref. 3). Zhang is a general of the PLA, and he is one of the few generals with actual warfighting experience – in his case, the Vietnam war of 1979. A caveat is that this information is coming from American based China watchers, pro Taiwan types, and also Falun Gong supporters. This makes it hard to tell whether it is true or not.

I have long thought that God gave Xi his career in the CCP and made him leader of China, not unlike Cyrus of the ancient Medes. I mean, the surname thing!

For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me. I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

Isaiah 45:4-6

Xi started out in Fujian, which is opposite Taiwan. He was then given a role in Zhejiang, which is the most Christian province of China – ie. Protestant Christianity. Since becoming the chairman of China, he has tasked China with the goal of recovering Taiwan, by force if necessary. But then, around the time of COVID-19, Xi started to behave differently. I think, Xi took the Traditional Chinese Medicine Lian Hua Qing Wen. I once read that this TCM is banned in Australia because it contains ephedra, which is a chemical used to make methamphetamine. The ingredients forsythia and honeysuckle probably do help defeat viruses such as the flu-based COVID-19, but ephedra is essentially meth. A drug such as meth means, demons might have gotten to him. I don’t know whether Xi can be recovered, in which case, he will still be the one to make the call on Taiwan when the time comes, or whether he will have to be replaced.

Anyway, according to China watchers there are unusual things happening in the CCP and in the government of China, but for now Xi remains the president, the party leader, and the chairman of the CMC.

Going back to the matter of Russia and the war for Ukraine, much has been made of North Koreans entering the battlefield. However, Ukraine has long been a de-facto international conflict. Ukraine receives weapons and funding from the west, and there are mercenaries from the west fighting alongside Ukrainians. At one point, the New York Times reported the presence of the CIA in Ukraine. Most recently, elements of America’s 75th Ranger Regiment were killed while carrying out a reconnaissance mission for Ukraine. That’s serving US army soldiers in Ukraine killed by Russians!

If you are interested in an update and a summary on Ukraine, there is a good one from a retired Indian general, GD Baskhi (ref. 4).

Republic World on GD Baskhi and the Ukraine war

It is said, Russia has found a way to win, and is now pushing almost the entire line.

HT on Russia’s advancing in Ukraine

The one exception is Kursk, which Ukraine took by surprise a few months ago, and only after US intelligence had told them that the area was not well guarded. I got the US intelligence part from GD Baskhi. It remains to be seen how long Ukraine can hold on there because what they hold is a salient.

Russia’s new found advantage is the glide bomb. Apparently, Ukraine cannot fortify an area and keep it because of Russia’s long range glide bombs.

Not quite fire, but conceptually similar. Fire and the burning of fortifications are probably for later on, and for the Middle East area where the weather is hot and dry.

Draw thee waters for the siege, fortify thy strong holds: go into clay, and tread the morter, make strong the brickkiln. There shall the fire devour thee; the sword shall cut thee off, it shall eat thee up like the cankerworm…

Nahum 3:14-15

When the Ukraine war first started, in the opening hours, Russia went for Hostomel, with the view of taking the airfield to air lift troops and seize Kyiv as soon as possible. That daring air assault via helicopters failed primarily because Russia could not counter Ukrainian artillery when Ukrainian forces eventually reached the area and surrounded Russia’s lightly armed airborne infantry.

Not to be outdone, Russia has now developed a mobile artillery piece that can be air lifted.

Times Now World on Russia’s Lotos

Of course, Russia must continue with this doctrine of air assaults because the Russian Federation is a very large landmass.

Russia’s doubling down on air assaults is also biblical and apocalyptic. Russian helicopters, sometimes described as “flying tanks”, can fly and land like locusts. The Bible prophesies, at the time of the end, some of the east will fight like “locusts”.

Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are.

Nahum 3:17

Now, with the entry of North Korea, it is said, the Ukraine war has become like the Spanish civil war before WW2. At that time, various countries also sent their military units to Spain to test them out and to try out emerging combat concepts.

The war for Ukraine has seen drones of all sorts change battlefield tactics – particularly loitering kamikaze drones.

War used to be an imperfect information game. Now, with satellites and drones, it is very hard to outmaneuver and catch the opponent unprepared. Battlefield awareness from US satellites is one reason why Ukraine has managed to stretch this out.

Telegraph on a failed Russian mechanised assault

Later on, when the volcanoes erupt and the skies darken plus when satellites in space are destroyed, war will become an imperfect information game once more.

One of the reasons why US satellites have not yet been shot down is because that sort of thing would impact the IDF and Israel’s war in the Middle East. Although Israel has satellites of its own, it is quite dependent on American ones, such as GPS.

At some point in the future though, satellites will be destroyed. This is Bible prophecy.

In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.

Zechariah 12:4

This might be done supernaturally – ie. angels.

Or else China might be the one to do it. First of all, China’s space tech is now beyond anything America can muster. Second, China’s PLA happens to be one of the few armies that can fight with low tech comms. It is said, they have even trained with pigeons.

The earth shall quake [bombs?] before them; the heavens shall tremble [anti-satellite weapons?]…

Joel 2:10

So, being able to see everything everywhere and all the time will not be how it will be towards the end. This will advantage the armies of the kings of the east – which from now on must be Russia, China, and also North Korea.
