Civil war breaks out in Sudan between Sudan’s military and the paramilitary RSF

Fighting erupts between Sudan’s military led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, RSF, led by Mohamad Hamdan Dagalo (ref. 1). It was only a year ago when these two groups joined together to carry out a coup d’etat against the then elected and leftist prime minister of Sudan Abdalla Hamdok.

The RSF grew out of armed Arab groups at the time of former president Omar al-Bashir. These Islamists terrorised places such as Darfur, carrying out numerous atrocities and massacres. The locals called them “Janjaweed”, an amalgam of the Arabic words “jinn” meaning “devils” and “ajawid” meaning “horses”.

In 2013, al-Bashir transformed what remained of the Janjaweed into the RSF, to serve as a kind of Praetorian Guard that would protect him from Sudan’s army generals.

Incidentally, before 2011, North Sudan, or what is known today as the Republic of Sudan, or simply Sudan, was one country together with South Sudan, what is known today as the Republic of South Sudan. While North Sudan is predominantly Islamic, South Sudan is mostly Christian. Many of the people of North and South Sudan are not Islamic because of the evangelism of the 19th century British Governor General of Sudan, Charles George Gordon. Gordon of Khartoum was famously beheaded by the “Mahdi” of Islam, Muhammad Ahmad, an Islamist and a Cushite. The British Empire went to great lengths, even building a railway from Egypt to Sudan, to stop the uprising of the Mahdi, and re-assert British rule. The Battle of Ginnis in 1885 against the forces of the Mahdi was the last time the British army would go into battle wearing their famous red coats. It is also noteworthy that the guerilla movement between 1983 and 2005 that broke South Sudan away from Sudan was known as the “Sudan People’s Liberation Army”.

Returning to the news, for some months now, there have been simmering tensions between the military of Sudan and the RSF. In 2019, Sudan post al-Bashir formally changed its constitution, controversially removing a reference to Islamic Sharia law. Now, the issue of how the RSF would be integrated into the army and under what authority has caused tensions to boil over.

Today, after fierce clashes, the one hundred thousand strong RSF claims to have seized the palace in Khartoum and at least three airports. The military, however, has declared the RSF a “rebel force” and its statements lies.

Since the military can field strike fighters, and the RSF has no aircraft at all, for now, the military might well hold on.

However, at some point in the future, the situation will change. This is because at some point, the prophesied beast with seven heads and ten horns will form.

The Bible explains that in the last days, “the Ethiopians” or the people of Cush will be at the steps of the Assyrian, and furthermore, Egypt will be conquered by the Assyrian.

He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians [Cushites] shall be at his steps.

Daniel 11:42-43

Right now, Egypt is led by Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the man who stopped the Muslim Brotherhood of Mohamed Morsi in 2013. Egypt under Sisi is currently fighting an insurgency of ISIS in the Sinai.

Besides that, the Ethiopia of Abiy Ahmed Ali continues to be at odds with Egypt over the Renaissance Dam, and separately with Sudan, as in the military of Sudan, over the disputed region of Al Fashaga.

Furthermore, according to the USA, Egypt was recently thinking of supplying Russia with thousands of rockets and artillery rounds for the war in Ukraine (ref. 2). This potentially makes the Egypt of Sisi an enemy of the USA.

It should also be noticed that it was the military of Sudan, as opposed to the civilian leadership of Sudan, that played an active role in the normalisation of ties between Sudan and Israel for the Abraham Accords (ref. 1).

All of this means, at some point, the Ethiopia of Abiy Ahmed Ali, along with the Islamists of Eriteria – the same that tried to wipe out Tigray, which is “Sheba” in the Bible – might push into Sudan to assist the RSF. Turkey also might intervene. On the other side, Egypt could decide to assist the military of Sudan.

Whether Egypt helps the military of Sudan or not, the prophecy is that Cush together with Libya, which was destabilised and made Islamic after NATO bombed Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, will both move against Egypt at the command of the Assyrian. After Egypt, the two will continue into Israel.

He shall enter also into the glorious land [Israel], and many countries shall be overthrown…

Daniel 11:41

At some point, there will be a beast with seven heads and ten horns – an Islamic Caliphate. This will be an empire that will make Hitler’s Axis of three countries pale by comparison. At the height of its power, the beast with seven heads and ten horns will control one quarter of the planet (ref. Revelation 6:8).

… And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth…

Revelation 6:8

The situation will become worse when Babylon the Great reveals which side she is truly on.

… he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace [peace between the beast and Babylon] shall destroy many…

Daniel 8:25

Not to mention, the Assyrian will have demons on his side – invisible spirits that humans cannot kill.

And in latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power…

Daniel 8:23-24

Nevertheless, by the time of the seventh seal of Revelation, the beast will begin to lose ground.

And then, on the day of the LORD, the Assyrian will be undone by Jesus Christ himself.

… he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes [Jesus Christ]; but he shall be broken without hand.

Daniel 8:25

And furthermore, the Devil will be arrested by an angel of God and sent to the prison of hell.
