In 2015, which was around the time of the Maidan uprising that saw the elected president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych toppled, the Security Service of Ukraine, acronym (in Ukrainian) SBU, established a new clandestine group, called the Fifth Directorate, to carry out espionage and acts of sabotage against Russia. This was years before Russia invaded Ukraine. Soon after it started, the Fifth Directorate formed a partnership with America’s Central Intelligence Agency. America gave Ukraine money and sophisticated equipment, and even built elaborate underground bunkers in parts of Ukraine to serve as covert bases and black sites. At first, the Americans insisted on no lethal operations, but over time, that red line was blurred. Today, the Fifth Directorate not only spies on Russian communications and sabotages Russia’s war effort, but also routinely assassinates key figures in Russian controlled territory. The same directorate of the SBU is even running secret agents in Russia proper. So, now, there is no denying that America’s CIA is literally at war against Russia. All of this is no longer secret, because the New York Times has just published an exposé (ref. 1).
Yet, despite all that, Ukraine continues to lose!
In other news, France’s Emmanuel Macron has signalled that he might send the French army to Ukraine to bolster the front line (ref. 2), because apparently he cannot stand the idea that Ukraine is losing ground.
But the Bible reads that the first horseman of the apocalypse is to go forth conquering and to conquer.
And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
Revelation 6:2
You see, Russia has indeed conquered land, and may yet conquer more.
