The Serbian hymn Победна песма (Pobedna Pesma), in English literally “Song of Victory”, sings about the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and mentions his heavenly hosts.
For a world that has been led to believe that God does not exist, this is going to be a spectacular reintroduction to the Son of man Jesus Christ.
“Here comes the Lord with His Heavenly Host,
Let our enemies be ashamed!
Let them be ashamed, let them repent,
Look how the Heavenly Host shines!
How they shine, how loud they are,
Tall mountains crumble before them
Tall mountains and prideful emperors,
Look, the Lord is coming to be enthroned
Seraphims forward, Cherubims after them,
The whole earth is burning, the whole world is in smoke!
The whole world is in smoke, it’s hard to breathe,
Such joy and horror, who could describe!?
Who can describe the miracle of miracles
when the sinful earth is clenched by Heaven!?
Clenched by the closeness of Heaven,
Then the fruits of earth are like rotten fruit!
Armies after Armies arrive from Heaven,
Angels blow their trumpets, the righteous cry out!
The righteous cry out: “Here comes the Lord!”,
Let earth and water evaporate!
Earth and water, what’s their use to us anymore?
Look, everything is happening as the Scripture foretold!
What was written in Scripture is happening,
A new Heaven and Earth are being born!
Here comes the Lord, arise people,
Here He comes to judge the world!
To judge the world, to tend to His flock,
The universe rumbles and roars from His footsteps!
Earth and sky rumble and roar,
Of what use are gold and silver to us now?
Let gold and silver be put to rest,
And may You shine for us, Son of God!”
Here’s another rendition. This one with thunderous drums, but no printed lyrics.
Like the Catholic Gregorian Chant Dies Irae, in English literally “Day of Wrath”, Pobedna Pesma mixes up the Second Coming of Jesus Christ at the time of the 7th trumpet and vial (ref. Revelation 19), which is after Armageddon, with the great white throne (ref. Revelation 20:11), when the planet earth is no more.
But, remarkably, what this song does get right is the idea of heavenly hosts and flames of fire.
And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Revelation 19:14
On the day of the LORD, there will be two heavenly armies that will follow Jesus Christ to the earth. One will comprise of innumerable angels that are still loyal to God, and the other will be the 144000 saints, born-again soldiers of Jesus Christ redeemed from descendants of the 12 tribes of Jacob, every one of the 144000 wielding the power of fire.
This is something that I have covered quite a lot by now, because it is the task that I have been given in these last days.
And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel…
Isaiah 49:6
In Revelation 22, Jesus Christ is described as “the bright and morning star”.
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
Revelation 22:16
As such, he is fire.
For our God is a consuming fire.
Hebrews 12:29
The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.
Nahum 1:5-6
For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth. And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.
Micah 1:3-4
For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
Isaiah 66:15-16
Revelation explains that the saints will also be given the morning star, to some extent.
And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. And I will give him the morning star.
Revelation 2:26-28
This means, every saint will also have a star-like body, and the power of fire.
… unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.
Malachi 4:2-3
So, this army will be unlike anything the world has ever seen.
I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow [again, think fire]. Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? …
Isaiah 43:15-19
Have you noticed that every living thing on earth that is not a spirit – humans, animals, insects, and plants – is based on the element of carbon? More to it, all carbon-based life succumbs to fire!
And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
Zechariah 14:12
For this reason, humans will come to fear the LORD and this army.
Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.
Psalms 9:20
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Psalms 111:10
No weapon that humans have will be able to injure a saint.
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
Isaiah 54:17
Because of the 144000 saints of the 12 tribes of Israel, humans will come to “fear the God of Israel”. This is because it is God, and more specifically the Holy One of Jacob, the creator Jesus Christ, that will command this army, an army of Israel.
But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.
Isaiah 29:23
As soldiers of Christ, the saints will also go after demons. Today, madness fueled by drugs, alcohol and painkillers plagues the world: random stabbings, domestic violence, parents harming children, toddlers killing siblings, pets turning on owners, and so on.
Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
1 Corinthians 6:3
For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.
Hebrews 2:5
As a weapon of God, a saint can be likened to an arrow. An arrow because it is Jesus Christ who is the one that will aim and shoot.
God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready. He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.
Psalms 7:11-13
… God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.
Psalms 64:7
And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver [arrow] hath he hid me;
Isaiah 49:2
Because of this army, in due course, evil will be no more.
Now, I would like to draw your attention to Isaiah 9:6-7, which is a verse I am sure every Christian is familiar with.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Isaiah 9:6-7
This is a prophecy about the coming kingdom of God, with Jesus Christ sitting on the throne of David in Zion and reigning as king for 1000 years.
Notice, verse 5, the verse immediately before Isaiah 9:6-7, speaks of warriors and fire!
For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
Isaiah 9:5
This is yet another reference to the 144000 saints, the army of the kingdom of God.
So, on the day of the LORD, all of the promised land will be realised, and then after that, the government of Jesus Christ will spread further until the entire earth becomes Christian.
For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
1 Corinthians 15:25
Sing, O barren [saints], thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD. Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
Isaiah 54:1-3
Eventually, when the entire world agrees to join the “commonwealth” of Israel, there will be world wide peace and prosperity!
The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Psalms 46:6-10
For the kingdom is the LORD’S: and he is the governor among the nations. All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
Psalms 22:28-29
At that time, righteousness will fill the world.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Matthew 5:5-6
The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake; he [Jesus Christ] will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
Isaiah 42:21
Sometime after the Millennial Reign, Satan will be loosed from the prison of hell and the problem of Gog and Magog will occur.
He [Jesus Christ] shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth [1000 years]: and the isles shall wait for his law.
Isaiah 42:4
Even with Satan’s machinations, the kingdom of God will not fall because of God the Father (ref. Ezekiel 38:23), the angels of heaven, and a number of saints (ref. Ezekiel 38:21, Ezekiel 39:4), including me (ref. Isaiah 49:8, Isaiah 46:11, etc).
The kingdom of God will be everlasting, a world without end.
… Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
Joel 3:20
They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols. But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
Isaiah 45:16-17
No matter what Satan tries after the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ, the saints that remain loyal to God and Jesus Christ will hold the kingdom until the planet earth is no more and the time comes for the new Jerusalem from heaven. And at the time of the new Jerusalem, we will continue to defend the kingdom if necessary.
And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.
Daniel 7:27
… the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.
Daniel 7:18
So, good will be victorious, and evil will come to an end.
One consequence of the war of Gog and Magog is that the world will come to know the power of God the Father.
Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.
Ezekiel 38:23
I am not sure but I think when Jesus Christ is in heaven, he is in effect God the Father. At any rate, the Son of God is always one with God the Father.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
John 14:6-7
